Location: Chelmsford
Pay Rate: £28.37 – £34.67 per hour (including holiday pay)
Shifts/Hours: Days – 8am – 8pm & Nights – 8pm – 8am

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our Complex Care team, supporting children and young people with complex healthcare needs in their homes and local communities.

About the Role

As a Community Complex Care Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for caring for children and young people with a range of complex medical conditions. You will work closely with families, carers, support workers, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to provide safe and effective care tailored to each child’s needs.

In this role, you will be supporting our 1 year old male client who is living with a complex genetic condition. When you are on shift, you will be supporting with personal care, administration of medications and managing our clients clinical interventions (listed below). Alongside, you will be expected to enhance our clients life via play and social interaction.

Skills/Interventions:

• One bagging technique 
• Nasogastric tube care and use 
• Nasogastric tube insertion
• Epilepsy experience

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain personalised care plans and risk assessments.
• Deliver and oversee complex clinical interventions
• Monitor and evaluate care outcomes, escalating concerns where appropriate.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Participate in quality assurance, clinical governance, and safeguarding processes.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN/RN Child) with a valid PIN.
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Experience caring for children with complex healthcare needs.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and family-centred care approach.
• Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people.
