Location: Kidderminster

Shifts: Days – 10am – 10pm & Sleep in nights – 10pm – 10am

Pay Rate: £9.50 (sleep in) – £17.10 per hour (including holiday pay)

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting with their daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

In this role, you will be supporting a 20 year old male within his family home, who is living with cerebral palsy. As a member of the team, you will be providing personal care, administering medication and supporting with our clients mobility via wheelchair/moving and handling. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to service users.
• Administer medications, and complete manual handling.
• Working with clinical interventions
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion.
• Build positive and professional relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Caring, empathetic, and patient nature.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

• 6 months care experience within the last 2 years (UK based experience)
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs including brain injuries, spinal injuries, physical disabilities, genetic and neurological conditions.
