Pay Rate: £32.57 per hour (including holiday pay)
Shifts/Hours: Nights – 10pm – 7am

Join Our Team

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our Complex Care team, supporting children and young people with complex healthcare needs in their homes and local communities.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, child-centred care while supporting families to ensure children can live safely and comfortably at home.

About the Role

As a Community Complex Care Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for children and young people with a range of complex medical conditions. You will work closely with families, carers, support workers, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to provide safe and effective care tailored to each child’s needs.

In this role you will be supporting our 3 year old male client who is living with several complex care needs. On shift you will be providing personal care, administering medication and managing clinical interventions (listed below)

Skills/Interventions

  • Ventilation via mask
  • Humidification
  • Deep Suctioning
  • Oxygen therapy 
  • Chest Physio (percussion/vibrations)
  • Administration of nebulisers via ventilation
  • Care and use of dual port PEG-J

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain personalised care plans and risk assessments.
  • Deliver and oversee complex clinical interventions
  • Monitor and evaluate care outcomes, escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance, clinical governance, and safeguarding processes.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN/RN Child) with a valid PIN.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Experience caring for children with complex healthcare needs.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and family-centred care approach.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children and young people.
