Pay: £15.19 per hour – Nights | £17.10 per hour – Weekends

At Pulse Nursing at Home, we provide clinically outstanding long-term and lifetime managed care to children and adults living with complex care needs in their own homes and communities.

We’re looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated female Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers to join our team across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

About the role

You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care to our male client who is living with learning disabilities, autism and seizures. 

Depending on the individual care package, your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing personal care and support with daily living
  • Administering medication
  • Moving and handling
  • Supporting clinical interventions
  • Developing a positive and trusting relationship with the client
  • Working as part of a dedicated 1:1 or 2:1 care team
  • Learning and delivering specialist complex care interventions

Don’t have experience with every intervention? That’s okay. You’ll receive specialist training tailored to the individual client you’ll be supporting, including opportunities to develop skills in areas.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months’ UK-based care experience within the last 2 years
  • Ideally somalian speaking – NOT ESSENTIAL
  • Have experience with areas such as personal care, medication and moving & handling
  • Are compassionate, dependable and committed to delivering high-quality care
  • Are interested in working a stable rota within a client’s own home
  • Are comfortable working independently as part of a 1:1 or 2:1 care package
  • Are willing to learn new skills and undertake complex care training
  • Want to build strong, professional relationships with clients, families and the wider care team
